Shakey,
Sounds like someone working a Roulette Wheel with the exception of the word "crashes" instead if stops.
Now in Nascar, the good ole' boys like to do a lot of nudging, bumping and good ole' pushing 'em on down the track to either get them out of there way or throw them a one finger salute as they go by the car up against the wall or infield. It's almost like a low level 6" above the asphalt.
Now to go to one of those races at our ages, you first gotta' get over the shock of the cost for the good tickets, the infield eye candy, the cold beer on an extremely hot day usually and then being able to remember where the hell you parked while under the inebriated state you find yourself in. Then trying to get over the shock the next day of how much money you blew to watch 30 or so cars fly around a race track.
Our way is to grab a cool one or two, in the air conditioned comfort of your house watching a big screen tv with it brodcast in HD.
