In the mini series "Pacific", R.V. Burgin is portrayed as a hero. (He was the Marine mortar platoon Sgt). A book by his buddy sledge ("with the old breed") and in " Strong men armed" by Lekie confirms that he was a true American hero. Today, my son Bryan meets him (He lives close by) and will present him with a 119th coin and thank him for his service.
I won't be there since it's a far drive, but he will have a 119th coin.
