Back when we made the first crew wings and pilot wings,from melted helicopters the first thing we did was make proof sets. The first pilot wings are on my wall. Yesterday I was in my garage and found the first proof set of the crew member wings. I grabbed them... They are perfect. (for sand castings of melted chopper skin). They have my signature and the foundry burned a couple of years ago, along with the molds so they are rare. There will never be another set. I called Tom and told him I am sending them to the VHCMA. My hope is they will be auctioned for the VHCMA. My request is that if some member of the 52nd BN needs help with dues, they will be used for that for a couple of guys, but that is up to Tom. The wings are signed and are worth a lot of bucks. they will be in the mailed Monday.
