The local paper reports a 39 year old man was sentenced to 10 days in jail,1 year probation with mental health treatment, and 100hrs. of community service for violating the Stolen Valor Act. He pretended to volunter to help wounded soldiers and gained access to Naval Medical Center, but went to the base exchange to order medals and insignia. When questioned, he said he is a Navy Seal, and was wearing a uniform with many decorations including the Silver Star.They found out he was never in the military.
