As I write this it is already May 6th in Vietnam approximately 6:45 am.

Forty three years ago 32 personnel from the 119th AHC were assigned to Company B (Special Forces) Team A-244 Dak To, RVN.

The mission began on 12 Apr 67 and ended on 15 May 1967. Its purpose was Military Activities as stated in Special Orders Number 128. Code name for this operation was Buckner which fell under Project Omega B50. We were RON for the entire time at Dak To except for required maintenance trips back to Camp Holloway.

On May 6, 1967 the 119th AHC lost three of its air crew supporting this mission. AC James Allen Bullington, Pilot Timothy William Kerney, and Gunner Richard Charles Gupton. The Crew Chief Mike Ebert some how survived the crash into the jungle.

I will be calling Mike tomorrow as I have for the past 14 years just to chat.

May they rest in peace and never be forgotten.
