Somali pirates only get away with seizing ships because wimp countries like the US don't blow their asses out of the water.

For some time now the majority of freight carrying ships are registered in other countries to avoid taxes and costly guidelines. They may be US company owned but registered in another country and fly that countries flag. Gives our government the opportunity to sit back and throw meaningless verbal threats like the cowards they are. Korea has the right idea, "Take No Prisoners" they are a liability. You have to feed them, be nice to them, guard them, and prove to the public you won't harm them.
