My Mom was Canadian, and US-Naturalized in the late 1940s. Huge extended family, North Woods Ontarioans, love 'em all to pieces.

I remember well the float planes, cargo canoes, steam locomotive rides, (Grandpa was a Engineer for CNR) and tobogganing and fishing my butt off.
w-a-a-ayyy cold, six feet of snow in the front yard overnight. Heaven for a kid.
