August 24, 1967

Forty Fore years ago today in the republic of South Vietnam Ronald Lee Holtzman, Door Gunner; Richard Michale Allerd, Crew Chief; assigned to the 119th Assault Helicopter Company Camp Holloway; Pleiku Vietnam were on UH1C #66-12526 when it crashed into the Krong Bo River where it joined the Dak Bla River. Also on Board were Dayton Witherall, Pilot; WO Richard N Morrison Aircraft Commander, 119th Assault Helicopter Company, 2Lt. Kenneth B Golf, 2Lt. Richard J Shell, Sgt. Major John R Ulp, 1Lt. Sterling A Wall, and Miss Cynthia Colburn, Passinger. This was a liaison mission departing Polei Klang in route to Poli Krong.

Ronald Lee Holtzman and Richard Michael Allerd have yet to accounted for. Although their names appear on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington DC they are still,to this day, MIA.
