I have been in contact with the Director, Commemorative Partner Program, Vietnam War Commemoration regarding the 50 aniversary events at the Wall in DC over Memorial Day Weekend. If ay of you are interested let me know and I will post additional information.

The Department of Defense will host the National Announcement and Proclamation Ceremony for the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. The event will take place at 1:00 pm on Memorial Day, May 28, 2012, at the Vietnam War Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. We would like to invite Vietnam Veterans, their families and other interested parties. If you will also be attending the Arlington Cemetery event you will probably not have time to also attend our event at the Vietnam Wall.
As the primary purpose of the event is to thank and honor those who served in the Vietnam War, we especially want to encourage Vietnam War veterans, Vietnam Era Veterans and their families to attend. The Office of the Secretary of Defense will issue a formal invitation to individuals that are interested.
